FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
How does approval work?
You request a shop with a name, the web address you want and your email. A person reads every request and approves it by hand: nothing goes live automatically. We email you when your shop is live, and then you sign in at your own address as owner, with the password you chose.
What is a drop code?
A short private code, like 7KQ-M4X, that opens one drop. You make as many as you need, print them on a sheet with a QR code for each, and give them to the people you want inside. Every wrong code gets exactly the same answer, so a guesser learns nothing.
Do my customers need an account?
Only after they enter a valid code. The code comes first; an account comes after, so a customer can place an order and follow it through its statuses.
What does it cost?
Each shop has a one-time fee: $25.00 for your first shop and $15.00 for each extra one, with no monthly fee. Unlimited products, drops, customers and orders, themes, your logo, money figures and CSV export are included. Pro is optional, at $29.00 a month. The details are under Pricing.
Can I use my own web address?
Yes, with Pro: tell us the address and we connect it for you. Every shop also has its own address at yourname.buildshop.cc, with or without Pro.
Can I leave, and take my data with me?
Yes, whenever you like. Every table in your shop exports as CSV: products, drops, codes, orders, customers and more. It is free, on every plan, always. If you stop paying for Pro, nothing is deleted.
How are payments handled?
Today, payment is between you and your customer. BUILD SHOP records what is owed and what has been paid, so your money screen adds up. Online card payment for customers is not built yet, so we do not offer it.
What happens to my customers’ data?
It is yours. We hold it to run your shop and for nothing else: no analytics, no ads, no trackers. Passwords are never stored, only a salted hash, so nobody can read one back.
